Classical, Rock, Experimental, Dance- Andre Mistier has moved through all of these genres of music and more in his exploration of music and self. From his rock band Ism to experimental sound compositions with The Collective Heart to his current dance music project, The Adversary, Andre has always searched for how the language of sound can express a story, mood, or emotion. He began his training in classical piano at the age of 5, moved into rock guitar at the age of 13, and moved into dance music and productions around 2009. Along the way, he graduated from Yale University with a degree in Comparative Mythology, has directed and produced numerous theatrical productions, as well as been the creative director of multiple immersive events. He continues in his 20 year practice of Jeet Kune Do, instructing the choreography and physics of fight and training in the dance of body and life.
